Journal History

MEDIASI Jurnal Kajian dan Terapan Media, Bahasa, Komunikasi was born as a publication media for the national seminar of MEDIASI in 2019. It was organized by the Publishing Department in collaboration with Center for Research and Community Service (P3M) at Politeknik Negeri Media Kreatif (Polimedia).

The first publication, Vol. 1 No. 1 was published in January 2020 by publishing 7 articles. MEDIASI has used its ISSN for printed (p-ISSN 2721-9046and online (e-ISSN 2721-0995) since Vol. 1 No. 2 (2020): May. At the beginning, the journal management faced difficulties due to limited human resources and OJS infrastructure resources. However, it periodically continued to learn and improve. In 2021, MEDIASI received supports in the form of collaboration from two associations that are still related to the field of this journal, namely APJIKI and ALTI.

Until the third volume in 2022, MEDIASI can publish regularly every January, May, and September. In the issue of Vol. 3 No. 1 (2022): January, there was a change in the journal management composition by recruiting several Reviewers,  putting more Section Editors, and placing Assistant Editors from the Information Communication and Technology (ICT) staff.

With the full support from Politeknik Negeri Media Kreatif and the presence of Editors and Reviewers from various agencies, it gives more spirit and enthusiasm to manage MEDIASI better.
